  • 1924 - Lillian Bounds begins work at the Disney Brothers Studio as an inker and painter.
  • 1935 - The Mickey Mouse film Mickey's Man Friday is released to theaters.
  • 1949 - RKO Radio Pictures releases Disney's animated and live-action feature film So Dear to My Heart to theaters. The film is based on the book Midnight and Jeremiah by Sterling North.
  • 1951 - The Chip 'n' Dale film Chicken in the Rough is released.
  • 1955 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Monsters of the Deep.
  • 1964 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, entitled Mediterranean Cruise with Ludwig Von Drake.
  • 1975 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, featuring The Sky's the Limit, part one.
  • 1977 - The Disney studio launches a new series of The All New Mickey Mouse Club on TV.
  • 1981 - Grenada issues two postage stamps for the 50th anniversary of Pluto.
  • 1996 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Mr. Holland's Opus to theaters in the USA.
  • 1997 - In Beverly Hills, California, the 54th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony is held. Winning Best Film, Musical or Comedy: Evita. Winning Best Actress, Musical or Comedy: Madonna in Evita. Winning Best Original Song: "You Must Love Me" in Evita.
  • 2009 - Jonas Brothers perform at Disney Channel's Kid's Inaugural: We Are the Future concert.
