  • 1928 - Universal Pictures releases the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit film Neck 'n' Neck to theaters.
  • 1931 - The Silly Symphony film Birds of a Feather is completed.
  • 1942 - Disney delivers the film The New Spirit to the War Activities Committee of Motion Pictire Industry.
  • 1948 - The Goofy film They're Off is released.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Our Friend the Atom.
  • 1959 - The ABC TV network airs the Walt Disney Presents TV show, featuring the fourth "Tales of Texas John Slaughter" episode, Showdown at Sandoval.
  • 1966 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring Moon Pilot, part two.
  • 1982 - The CBS TV network airs the Walt Disney show, entitled Donald and Jose, Olé!. It includes segments from the films The Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos.
  • 1992 - The Eagle Pines golf course and Bonnet Creek Golf Club open at Walt Disney World.
  • 1995 - Sierra Leone issues eleven postage stamps depicting Disney characters and Christmas themes.
  • 1995 - Sierra Leone issues twelve postage stamps depicting Donald Duck paintings inspired by old masters.
  • 2000 - In Los Angeles, Phil Collins wins a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture, for the song "You'll Be in My Heart", from the film Tarzan.
  • 2006 - The Disney board of directors turns down Michael Eisner's plea to not buy Pixar Animation Studios for US$7.4 billion.
  • 2006 - The Walt Disney Company names its headquarters building in Burbank, California, after former chairman Michael Eisner.
