  • 1935 - The Mickey Mouse film The Band Concert is released to theaters. Donald Duck also appears. This is the first Mickey Mouse film processed in Technicolor.
  • 1939 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Short Subjects, Cartoons) to Disney for the film Ferdinand the Bull.
  • 1939 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Special Award) to Walt Disney for screen innovation for the film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Disney is presented one statuette and seven miniature statuettes.
  • 1940 - RKO Radio Pictures releases the film Pinocchio to theaters.
  • 1955 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, featuring the third "Davy Crockett" episode, Davy Crockett at the Alamo.
  • 1959 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film White Wilderness for an Oscar Award in the category Documentary, Features.
  • 1959 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film White Wilderness for an Oscar Award in the category Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture.
  • 1959 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences nominates the film Paul Bunyan for an Oscar Award in the category Short Subjects, Cartoons.

  • 1964 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh, part three.
  • 1969 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring The Secret of Boyne Castle, part three.
  • 1986 - The ABC TV network airs The Disney Sunday Movie, entitled The Girl Who Spelled Freedom.
  • 1986 - The Guatemalan Weavers shop in Disneyland closes.
  • 1990 - Buena Vista releases the Touchstone Pictures live-action feature film Where the Heart Is to theaters.
  • 1995 - Guyana issues 23 postage stamps depicting various Disney characters at work.
  • 1995 - The name of the Guest Quarters Suite Resort hotel at Lake Buena Vista at Walt Disney World changes to Doubletree Guest Suite Resort hotel.
  • 1999 - In Seattle, Washington, Disney holds its annual stockholder meeting.
  • 2004 - At the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland, the show An Enchanting Musical opens.
  • 2004 - The shareholder advisory service Glass, Lewis & Company hears presentations from Roy Disney, Stanley Gold, Michael Eisner, and many others.
  • 2010 - Captain EO re-opens in Tomorrowland Theater in Disneyland.
