  • 1946 - Disney delivers the film Planning for Good Eating to the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs.
  • 1946 - Disney delivers the educational film Environmental Sanitation to the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs.
  • 1952 - Walt Disney submits a sketch of a "Fairy Land" to the Recreation and Parks commissioners on Riverside Drive between Disney studios and Griffith Park.
  • 1957 - The ABC TV network airs the Disneyland TV show, entitled Disneyland the Park / Pecos Bill.
  • 1966 - The Midget Autopia attraction in Disneyland closes.
  • 1976 - The TV special America on Parade airs.
  • 1977 - The NBC TV network airs The Wonderful World of Disney show, entitled The Track of the African Bongo.
  • 1983 - The Yong Feng Shangdian shopping gallery opens in the China pavilion in Worldshowcase at EPCOT Center.
  • 1984 - Reliance Group Holdings announces that it now owns 7.3 percent of Disney shares.
  • 1989 - Newsweek magazine features Mickey Mouse on the cover of its April 3rd issue, for an article on the Disney-MGM Studios park at Walt Disney World.
  • 1992 - Disney releases the Hollywood Pictures live-action feature film Straight Talk to theatres.
  • 1994 - Disney President and Chief Operating Officer Frank Wells dies in a helicopter accident.
  • 1997 - Disney buys a one-third share of Starwave, a Web design, content, and management company, for about US$100 million.
