  • 1939 - The Silly Symphony film The Ugly Duckling is released to theaters. This is a color remake of the 1931 film. This is the last Silly Symphony film.
  • 1950 - The Pluto film Wonder Dog is released to theaters. Dinah and Butch also appear.
  • 1954 - Disney releases the Chip 'n Dale film The Lone Chipmunks to theaters.
  • 1968 - The NBC TV network airs the Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color show, featuring The Mystery of Edward Sims, part two.
  • 1970 - The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences awards an Oscar (Short Subjects, Cartoons) for the film It's Tough To Be A Bird.
  • 1981 - Grenada issues five postage stamps depicting various Disney characters and Easter baskets.
  • 1983 - Walt Disney World welcomes its 150-millionth guest, Carrie Stahl.
  • 1985 - The ABC TV network airs the 14th annual Walt Disney World's Happy Easter Parade.
  • 1990 - The Cage nightclub opens in Pleasure Island at Walt Disney World. Former name was Videopolis East.
  • 1993 - Disney releases the film Pinocchio on laserdisc (CAV Collector's Edition) in the US, for US$100.
  • 1995 - The name of the Diamond Horseshoe Jamboree at Walt Disney World is changed back to Diamond Horseshoe Revue.
  • 1995 - At the Cleveland Film Festival, the film Frank and Ollie, premieres. The film is a documentary of the lives and careers of Disney animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston.
  • 1995 - Buena Vista Pictures releases the Walt Disney Pictures animated feature film A Goofy Movie to theaters in the US.
  • 1995 - Buena Vista Pictures generally releases the film Jefferson in Paris to theaters in the USA.
  • 1995 - The last episode of Disney's syndicated TV show Judge for Yourself airs.
  • 2002 - The Fox Broadcasting Company airs The Simpsons TV show in the US. A character says "Michael Eisner's been dead for five years".
  • 2003 - The National Association of Broadcasters holds a luncheon honoring the Disney franchise. Company chairman Michael Eisner announces Disney will begin testing a new video-on-demand service called Movie Beam later in the year. A television set-top box will download new film releases over regular television broadcast signal to a local storage device for later playback.
  • 2003 - The Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage show debuts at Disney's California Adventure.
  • 2006 - Expedition Everest opens in Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The 2.5-hectare attraction features a 1.6km train ride with a 24m drop.
